Damanga
Condemns the killings of three aid workers
March 27, 2008
The Damanga
Coalition for Freedom and Democracy regrets the killing
of three UN World Food Programme aid workers in Darfur.
As a result of the instability in Darfur, many trucks
carrying food are hijacked and the drivers are killed
or reported missing. Damanga condemns this act of violence
and beseeches the groups responsible for the attacks
to recognize the neutral status of aid workers. Damanga
is saddened by this news and we extend our heartfelt
sympathies to the families of the three victims. Additionally,
Damanga implores the international community to implement
the full UNAMID peacekeeping mission in Darfur to stop
the genocide and deter this violence.
