May 28, 2008
The
presidential candidates from both parties, Senators
John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama, have
signed a joint statement pledging their commitment to
ending the genocide in Darfur and ensuring stability
in the region. For the full text of the statement please

Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy praises
the Senators' united front on the situation in Darfur.
This act is very significant as this is the first time
presidential candidates have come together on an issue,
and it demonstrates the American spirit of the pursuit
of liberty and justice for all. We the people of Darfur
are very grateful and believe that they will make an
impact, and we hope that the Senators will remain committed
to their pledges.
