Confidential, the new source has accused Iran of deploying
military assistance to Sudan, finding them in violation
of the United Nation arms embargo. Pieces of an unmanned
drone which was shot down by rebels on August 28th,
2008 in the western Darfur region reveals that it was
being controlled by Iranian technicians. Damanga is
concerned about Iran's involvement with Sudan in this
matter because it can only be bad news for Darfur, who
has suffered long enough. Since the beginning of this
conflict, which started long before 2003, more than
450,00 lives has been lost, and amlost 3.5 million people
have been turned into refugees and the person responsible
for these crimes against humanity is Omar al-Bashir,
and his government of National Congress Party (NCP).
He has been using government troops and armed men known
as Jaanjaweed to massacre the innocent civilians of
Darfur for a very long time. This must stop now. Damanga
strongly urges the United Nations to look into this
matter and to take action against Iran if such accusations
are true.
