Damanga Mourns the Death of Manute Bol
June 20, 2010
Damanga is deeply saddened over the death of Mr. Manute Bol, a former NBA player and human rights advocate as well as a politician who worked very hard to help his desperate people back home in Sudan. Bol was an example of those overwhelmingly generous, compassionate and loving people. He dedicated most of his short life to help others who were less fortunate. Bol spent most of his money to give to the refugees in his native country. Outspoken on behalf of Darfur, Sudan and African Victims, he raised funds to build schools for the lost Boys and homeless. Our deepest condolences for this tragic loss last Saturday at the UVA hospital, University of Virginia, due to kidney failure and skin disease. Mr. Bol will remain in our hearts as a wonderful example of a loving man for all to live in peace, dignity and Freedom. It is rare to see someone enormously generous and compassionate like him.
Said: Mohamed Yahya, Damanga Executive director. May God bless him and rest his soul in peace.
